Physical therapists are movement experts. They improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement. At your first consultation, our PT will make a detailed assessment and will ask you to discuss what happened to you and your recovery.  The PT will work with you to identify and prioritise what you want to achieve. They will also give you advice and support to make lifestyle changes, such as suitable exercise.

Common cardiorespiratory conditions include:

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Asthma
  • Bronchiectasis
  • Bronchitis
  • Emphysema
  • Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF)
  • Respiratory Infections, i.e. Pneumonia
  • Hypertension
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease
  • Angina
  • Heart Attack (MI)
  • Heart or lung injury or surgery

Physiotherapy after hospitalization (also for COVID-rehab)

A hospitalization,  whether it is recovery after a major injury or a critical carestay for treatment of a serious illness like COVID-19,  quickly reduces strength in the muscles and the condition of the heart and lung system. This might mean you will come out of the hospital weaker then you were before.

Profysio can help you regaining strength to breathe deeply on your own, build back up your cardiovascular endurance, strength, mobility and independence again.

Our physiotherapist is specially trained for this and can start your recovery program with at home treatments at first and continue afterwards in our professional rehabilitation practise in Calpe or Altea.
